Alan Fowler - short biog

"My recording interest began with writing and recording jingles for the 'Dave Ward Show' at Piccadilly Radio in Manchester back in 1981. After moving to London I was an AV technician for a BBC contractor and worked on shows such as 'Friday/Saturday Night Clive' and the 'Brit Awards'.

As a guitarist I was also performing with several bands; appearing at Glastonbury in the mid-eighties and again in 1990. In addition to working as musical director and stage musician for the early Fallout Theatre Group (funded by Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth), I wrote music for the songs of the travelling review and contributed to scripts. I went on to produce the soundtrack album at a south London studio.

Having collaborated with, or supported, some of the best musicians around over a couple of decades; Davy Macintosh drummer, (Devo, Waterboys, Iggy Pop); jazz guitar legend Gerry Fitzgerald (Henry Cow, Maladjusted Quartet); Keith Dobson (Here And Now, World Domination Enterprises); Bert Jansch; Don Partridge, I continue to write and perform with several local Oxford bands."
